The top-level --help said "Start with hono routes, then hono request". Agents ran hono routes as a fixed step right after writing the routes themselves, then checked them with hono batch anyway. In a test on the cf cloudflare-workers template ("make an access counter", Opus, 5 runs each), rc.4 ran routes in 4/5 runs. It never caught anything; the batch passed every time.

The help now says to start with hono routes to learn an app you did not write, and to check a change with hono request (or hono batch). With it, 0/5 runs ran routes. Batch use and passing checks stayed at 5/5, and turns went from 5.0 to 4.4. The numbers are in docs/agent-dx-log.md.

The author should do the following, if applicable

  • Add tests
  • Run tests
  • pnpm run format:fix && pnpm run lint:fix to format the code
  • Add TSDoc/JSDoc to document the code
