Expand Up @@ -31,6 +31,25 @@ A file larger than 50 MB, GitHub's recommended limit, is written in parts of
even size: `<name>.pat`, `<name>.part2.pat` and so on. NeverD reads the parts
as one library, and the Rich header chooses a release's parts together.

Current NeverD also reads `.npat` parts with native context requirements.
Older directory readers ignore these files and retain ordinary `.pat`
coverage. Selection still uses the same architecture, platform and toolset
profile. `!refs` records require complete body coverage and confirmation of
every reference before becoming candidates. `!caller` records are excluded
from global byte scanning and queried only by names requested by validated
incoming context. Existing ordinary byte claims do not become incoming
evidence merely because they are loaded. Neither form independently proves
the original source identity or authorizes an automatic name.

The x64 runtime additions retain their source, collision and output hashes in
`runtime-context.sources.json`, `runtime-callers.sources.json` and
`runtime-metadata.sources.json`. The metadata refinements preserve all bytes
and names while adding missing immutable import or primary-vftable constraints.
Raw collision evidence includes short and discarded source functions across
toolsets; absence from a selected pack is never proof of uniqueness. See
[NeverD's quality policy](https://github.com/NeverSight/NeverD/blob/dev/docs/signature-quality.md)
for the identity boundary and required accuracy/performance checks.
