Navigate logical layers of code changes, visualize relationships, and explore their blast radius. 📝 WalkthroughWalkthroughThe recording overlay now supports notch, bottom-center, bottom-right, and top-right positions. The selected position is persisted in settings. Floating positions use distinct styling, layout rules, and frame placement. ChangesRecording Overlay Positions

Merge Risk: 🔵 Low · up to The new position selector lacks a meaningful VoiceOver name. Adding its accessibility label is a small, localized fix; otherwise the change has only bounded merge-readiness risk. 🚥 Pre-merge checks | ✅ 4 | ❌ 1❌ Failed checks (1 warning)

Give the Position picker an accessible name.
The adjacent Text("Position") does not label the separate Picker(""). Add the same accessibility modifiers used by the “Show on” picker.

Thanks for the contribution. I reviewed this against current main and am leaving it open for the following author follow-up:
- Extract the floating-frame calculation into a testable helper and cover nonzero display origins, each anchor, and visible-frame boundaries, including the widest error/update overlays.
- Add an accessibility label to the unlabeled Position picker and document the preference default and persistence checks.
Please document these manual checks: Notched and external displays with Dock visible and hidden; Start, stop, cancel, error toast and update prompt in every position; Compact and pill styles, display disconnect, and relaunch persistence.
Please run make check and git diff --check on the updated branch, and update the PR description with the results.
Problem
The recording overlay in FreeFlow currently anchors strictly to the top center of the screen (the camera notch area).
While this works well on clean displays, it introduces notable UX friction in two common workflows:
Solution
This PR adds an Overlay Position selector in Settings → Recording Overlay, allowing users to anchor the recording pill in four natural screen locations:
