fixing some deprecations and changes to how the resolver gets setup. not too well versed in rust but hope this works

Updated the dependencies step-wise and patched up some of the issues.
My Rust skills are not great and maybe another pair of eyes on the resolver initialization caused by the hickory-resolver api changes would be nice. Feel free to push into my branch for obvious fixes.
I tested it both in DN42 and a "real world" environment and it still appears to work just fine.
