Use FindBugs to perform sanity checks with the codebase

FindBugs (http://findbugs.sourceforge.net/) is a tool that, as the name implies, finds bugs in Java programs. It is useful mostly for silly bugs and produces a huge number of false positives in some scenarios, but serious people (like Google) actually use it to analyze their source code. I think we should incorporate FindBugs checking into our build process. What do you think? Any of you has any experience with it?
