Refresh

  • shared/api가 refresh transport와 terminal/recoverable 오류 분류 소유

  • terminal/recoverable refresh 실패 검증
  • single-flight 및 재시도 검증
  • TypeScript 검사 통과
  • ESLint 검사 통과
  • Steiger FSD

📝 Walkthrough

Walkthrough

The app now restores stored authentication sessions before routing. Expired sessions use a shared refresh flow, while recoverable errors preserve the session and show a retry screen. The auth store tracks recovery status and refreshed access tokens.

Changes

Auth session recovery

Layer / File(s) Summary
Auth state and refresh behavior
src/shared/model/auth-store.ts, src/shared/api/auth-refresh-error.ts, src/shared/api/auth-token-policy.ts, src/shared/api/refresh-auth-session.ts, src/shared/api/authenticated-fetch.ts, src/shared/api/index.ts, src/shared/model/__tests__/*, src/features/user/save-social-login/__tests__/*
The auth store now tracks recovery status and has explicit recovery and refreshed-token actions. Refresh errors are classified, and refresh calls log out only for terminal errors. Tests cover refreshed-token persistence and updated auth-store state.
Session recovery flow
src/features/user/restore-auth-session/model/*, src/features/user/restore-auth-session/index.ts, src/features/user/restore-auth-session/__tests__/*, package.json, docs/architecture/adr-0047-auth-session-recovery.md
The recovery use case reads both stored tokens and restores, refreshes, or clears the session based on token state. Recovery tests and the ADR describe the outcomes and error handling.
Startup routing and retry UI
src/app/_layout.tsx, src/features/user/restore-auth-session/ui/*
RootLayout starts recovery before route handling and renders the recovery error screen when recovery fails with a recoverable error. The screen retries recovery.

Merge Risk: 🔵 Low · up to 6c3c7

Retrying session recovery can leave users looking at a blank screen until the request finishes. This is a bounded UI issue; the change is otherwise mergeable with a loading-state follow-up.

Security Architecture Review

Security architecture risk: 🟡 Moderate · up to 6c3c7

Recovery handles temporary failures more safely, but incomplete logout cleanup can now let the next app launch sign back into the previous account. This requires a surviving refresh credential that remains valid, and primarily affects subsequent users of the same app installation.

Retained concerns

  • Medium · security · inferred: Refresh-only startup recovery can undo an explicit logout after partial storage cleanup. If access-token deletion succeeds but refresh-token deletion fails, logout clears runtime authentication and returns normally. On restart, the new recovery flow exchanges the surviving refresh credential and republishes the previous account session if the server accepts it. Base initialization did not authenticate this state because it required a stored access token. Recovery therefore needs to distinguish an intentionally retained session from credential residue left by logout.
Security review details

Security Blast Radius

  • inferred — The retained concern affects an app installation holding a previous user's still-valid refresh credential. A subsequent person using that installation could inherit the restored account's authenticated client authority without a new login. Effective privileges depend on that credential and backend authorization; unrelated account or environment exposure was not established.

Security Findings and Attack Paths

  • inferred — The supported conditional path is explicit logout, successful access-token deletion, failed refresh-token deletion, application restart, then successful exchange of the surviving refresh credential. Runtime cleanup and terminal rejection protect normal paths, but neither prevents refresh-only restoration after a nonrevoking logout. The deletion-failure behavior predates this PR; its conversion into automatic authentication from a missing-access-token state is new.

Trust Boundaries and Controls

  • observed — RootLayout waits for ready status before route handling, retains the unauthenticated redirect and normalized internal return path, and withholds the application stack during recovery. Login-time terms enforcement remains in the welcome and social-login flow. Treating persisted sessions as already consented also existed at base; no new consent bypass was established.

Resilience and Maintainability Implications

  • observed — The new policy separates credential rejection from temporary transport or storage failure. During startup, recoverable failure leaves tokens intact but does not open application routing. Sequential refreshed-token writes publish runtime identity only after persistence succeeds, containing incomplete initialization without deleting a potentially valid session.

Hardening Proposals

  • proposed — Define logout invalidation independently of best-effort token deletion. Consider server revocation or a durable invalidation marker that recovery checks before exchanging leftover credentials, with cleanup retry and fail-closed handling when invalidation cannot be established. Verify the combined logout-failure-and-restart transition, not just each operation in isolation.

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win

Show a loading state during a retry instead of a blank screen.

When the user presses "다시 시도", beginAuthRecovery changes authRecoveryStatus to "initializing". Line 147 then returns null, so AuthRecoveryErrorScreen unmounts. The user then sees an empty screen with no feedback until the refresh resolves. When the network is the cause, this can last until the request times out. Render a spinner or keep the error screen in a pending state during a retry. The first startup can keep returning null while the splash screen is visible.
