Summary

  • Unmatched instances (hallucinated predictions with no GT, or GT objects the model missed entirely) were scored with a fake, crop-size-dependent distance instead of the worst possible score — a crop's own geometry determined how forgiving the penalty was, not anything the model did. They now correctly get inf -> normalized 0.
  • normalize_distance now rescales so the worst possible real (capped) match always floors at a fixed 0.1 across every crop, regardless of geometry.
