explicit worker-invocation marker before writing “ready” or waiting for
“release”; return successfully when the marker is absent so ignored-test runs do
not start the child handshake.

[Low impact] The PR appears safe to merge. SummaryThe lease test now starts the test binary as its worker instead of a shell.

The lease test spawned PowerShell on Windows and allowed five seconds for the worker's first ready marker. On a loaded Windows runner PowerShell startup alone consumed that budget, so the test failed at the readiness deadline even though the worker started normally. Run the worker as the test binary itself instead. The child is a native process with no shell startup, and it performs the same ready/release/result file handshake from the checkout directory. Cover the child with an ignored test spawned through `--exact ... --ignored`. The child returns immediately when no handshake request exists, so a direct `cargo test -- --ignored` run stays green.

Merged herdr master at a200866 (herdrdev#5463 Windows SSH output no longer delays typing, herdrdev#5310 zero-sized resize keeps polling, herdrdev#5467 steadier plugin worker lease test). No conflicts. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

The Windows check on #5457 failed in
app::api::plugins::tests::running_plugin_command_keeps_its_files_after_app_teardownwithplugin command did not write ...\ready within deadline(job). That test spawns its long-lived plugin worker through PowerShell on Windows and gives the worker five seconds to write its first marker. The same test takes 2.44 s locally, so on a loaded Windows runner PowerShell startup alone can consume the whole readiness budget: the worker did start, it just missed the deadline. The earlier run of the same PR passed, which matches a startup-time flake rather than a lease bug.
The test now spawns the test binary itself as the worker through
--exact ... --ignored, so the child is a native process with no shell initialization and performs the sameready/release/resulthandshake from the checkout directory. The lease assertions are unchanged; if the worker really fails to start, the test still fails.Validation:
just checkpassed on Windows; full suite 3,488 passed, 13 skipped.
