🤝 Community commitment from NLP Labs Vietnam

@nlp-labs-vietnam commits to bootstrapping and maintaining the Vietnamese translation:

• Core translation team: 3 bilingual engineers with GitHub/software domain expertise
• Initial translation coverage: Top 50 most-visited pages (get-started, authentication, repositories, pull-requests, GitHub Actions)
• Glossary maintenance: Vietnamese-specific technical terminology glossary (see translations/vi-vn/README.md)
• Quality review process: Two-reviewer workflow for all translations
• Community onboarding: Recruit additional Vietnamese contributors from the ~800k VN GitHub users

Translation infrastructure we will maintain

• Private translation repo: nlp-labs-vietnam/docs-vi-vn (mirrors the pattern of existing translation repos)
• Automated freshness checks: flag English pages updated since last Vietnamese translation
• Public discussion forum: GitHub Discussions for Vietnamese translation coordination

💚 Request for GitHub sponsorship / server infrastructure

To accelerate Vietnamese localization and support the Vietnamese developer community, we respectfully request that GitHub consider:

1. Infrastructure support: Provide a private translation repository (github/docs-vi-vn) on the same model as existing language repos (docs-es-es, docs-ja-jp, etc.)

2. Translation tooling access: Access to the same translation pipeline/tooling used by existing language teams

3. GitHub for Open Source consideration: NLP Labs Vietnam is an MIT-licensed OSS organization. Any infrastructure support would be used solely for Vietnamese developer community benefit.

We understand this requires GitHub's internal review process and are prepared to participate in whatever evaluation is needed.

🧪 Testing

• src/languages/tests/files.ts — will validate vi entry once the private vi-vn translation repo is provisioned
• src/languages/tests/detect-language.ts — Vietnamese accept-language: vi header detection
• src/languages/tests/redirects.ts — /vn/* → /vi/* redirect pattern

Note: Full test suite requires the private vi-vn translation repo to be checked out into translations/vi-vn/. We have scaffolded the directory structure in this PR to demonstrate the intended layout.
