BAL benchmarks & optimizations #18679
Description
It was discussed that bal-devnet-1 should be used for optimizations, while bal-devnet-2 should be used for further spec changes.
The optimizations that we can make are:
- Parallel EVM execution with BALs (see Execution Parallelization #15655)
- Parallel state root calculation (see Commitment evolving #13884)
- EVM execution running in parallel with state root calculation
- Parallel IO
- Misc optimizations revealed by profiling
