Summary

Every .md and .mdx file in the repository now wraps at 76 characters, and markdownlint MD013 in stern mode fails ahoy lint-docs and ahoy lint-markdown on any over-long line that has a space to break at. The prose in the 69 pages under .vortex/docs/content/, in .vortex/docs/README.md, README.md, README.dist.md, and docs/testing.md now states each fact once, in plain sentences.

MD013 was false in both .vortex/docs/.markdownlint.yaml and .vortex/tests/.markdownlint.yaml, so paragraphs written as single lines ran to 600+ characters with nothing to catch them. The prose leaned on benefit add-ons (This ensures, This means, This allows), closers (In short, ..., It's worth trying.), sales words (production-ready, out of the box, first-class), staged contrasts in the README.md persona sections, spaced hyphens that joined clauses, and bold labels that repeated their own list item.

The built docs site renders the same: a whitespace-normalized diff of all 154 built pages differs only in the reworded <summary> labels and the split shell commands inside <TabItem> blocks. 3 claims change because they were wrong: a required status check on the security audit blocks merges, not deployments, abandoned packages don't fail composer audit, and only the advisories policy section accepts ignore-id and ignore-severity. Headings, link targets, front matter (except the landing page description:), and the generated table below ## Variables list aren't touched, and 96 installer fixtures regenerate from the rewrapped template files.

Add-ons that restated a benefit: -ing riders and This ensures, This means, and This allows sentences (architecture.mdx, development/testing/jest.mdx, contributing/maintenance/installer.mdx).
Sales wording and benefit triads: production-ready, out of the box, first-class, comprehensive, streamline (architecture.mdx, features.mdx, README.mdx, docs/testing.md). The AI tab in features.mdx also drops the No vendor lock-in bullet.
Closers that repeated the paragraph: This eliminates "works on my machine" problems... in architecture.mdx, In short, ... in development/provision.mdx, and It's worth trying. in faqs.mdx.
Staged run-ups and first sentences that restated the heading: Here's how it works: in architecture.mdx, Below is a ... illustrating ... in development/provision.mdx, and the provides the following integration lead-in under ## Integration in hosting/acquia.mdx and hosting/lagoon.mdx.
Short lists that spread 1 point over several bullets became 1 or 2 sentences: the Benefits: list in development/composer.mdx and the 2 lists at the top of development/code-quality/rector.mdx.
Spaced hyphens that joined clauses became periods, commas, colons, or parentheses. Hyphens that separate a term from its description in a list item stay.
Emphasis bold in running prose, and bold labels that only restated their own list item, such as the To ignore **all PHPCS rules** within a file lines on the linter pages under development/code-quality/. Bold stays on **Vortex** (the docs prose lint requires it), on UI paths, on defined terms in definition lists, and on the what/how documentation convention.
Counts written as words became digits: only 1 container, with 1 runner, 3-tier priority.

Root READMEs and the landing page description

README.md: the intro drops unified and The outcome:, and the persona sections lose their staged contrasts (You want to write Drupal, not babysit infrastructure, for when something has to be someone's problem) and first-class. **Vortex** is more than a code template became **Vortex** has 3 parts that work together:.
README.dist.md: the setup steps no longer repeat Make sure that, and they gain their missing articles (the latest versions, the .env.local file, step 1) and MySQL casing.
README.mdx: the front matter description: (the page's meta description) now mirrors the rewritten introduction.

Corrected claims

continuous-integration/README.mdx, development/security/README.mdx, and continuous-integration/github-actions.mdx: adding the audit check to branch protection blocks merges, not deployments. The deploy job doesn't depend on the separate audit workflow, so pull request deployments still run when the audit fails.
development/security/dependency-audit.mdx: advisories fail the audit, and abandoned packages are reported without failing it, matching abandoned.audit set to report in composer.json. The code scanning inventory sentence now refers to advisories only, since abandoned packages are uploaded but don't fail the audit.
development/security/dependency-audit.mdx: the advisories and abandoned policy sections both accept block, audit, and ignore, but only advisories accepts ignore-id and ignore-severity, per Composer's policy reference. The page said every section accepted all 3 ignore keys.

76-character line limit

MD013 in .vortex/docs/.markdownlint.yaml and .vortex/tests/.markdownlint.yaml is now line_length: 76 with code_blocks, tables, and headings exempt and stern: true. Stern mode flags any over-long line that has a space to break at, and still allows a line that is a single unbreakable token, such as a long URL.
Every .md and .mdx file was rewrapped: the docs content, the root READMEs and docs/*.md, AGENTS.md, CONTRIBUTING.md, CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md, the CLAUDE.md files, .claude/skills/*/SKILL.md, and the installer, tests, and tooling READMEs. The 2 PR templates and contributing/maintenance/_release_template.md keep their lines, because GitHub renders their newlines as line breaks, and so does the generator template .vortex/docs/.utils/variables/variables.template.md.
markdownlint reads code inside a <TabItem> as HTML, so it isn't exempt as a code block. The long commands there are split with \ continuations, and trailing # comments moved onto their own line above the command.
Long import lines span 2 lines. <img> and <CodeBlock> attributes and the landing page style objects go 1 per line, and <li> text wraps inside the element.
Link-only lines that can't fit use reference-style links: the 4 config keys in development/composer.mdx and the DrupalSouth presentation links in README.mdx and README.md.

The Both scripts reference in development/provision.mdx now names the demo and development modules scripts. scripts/provision-00-enable-demo-modules.sh and scripts/provision-10-enable-dev-modules.sh both skip every environment outside local, ci, dev, and stage.

Spotted, not changed

These are factual questions rather than prose, so the rewrite leaves them alone.
