🔐 Password Security Analyzer

A Python program that analyzes how strong a password is and demonstrates how passwords are handled securely.

What it does

  • Checks password strength (length, uppercase, lowercase, numbers, special characters)
  • Detects commonly used passwords
  • Estimates how long it would take to brute force crack it
  • Hashes the password using SHA-256 and simulates a login system

How to run

  1. Download both password_analyzer.py and common_passwords.csv
  2. Put them in the same folder
  3. Run: python password_analyzer.py

Built with

  • Python
  • hashlib (built-in Python library)
