    Does anyone have any idea how to do it?

    I can't do a whole lot for supporting changes in Maya since i no longer have a maya license but if all you need is just a recompile with updated until build settings to support newer PyCharm's i should be able to do that by the weekend.

    I just forked this repo and modified some basic config files. Just recompilation works for me. ref: https://github.com/tybian/MayaCharm

    How would I install the forked version (in the meantime until the update is released)?

    @abxdnego

    If anyone having troubles with recompiling, I made a recompiled build from @tybian's repo. https://github.com/abxdnego/MayaCharm/releases/tag/pycharm with instructions.

    I just opened a PR for 2025.1+ with a lot of deprecation fixes #74

    I have merged your PR into my fork, and it functions well in Pycharm 2025.2. Thanks for you contribution.

    Trying to get this up and running with Maya 2026.2 and PyCharm 2025...

    Is connecting to maya w/ breakpoints still working? I can't seem to get it to work. I can connect to the log. I have Pro PyCharm, but the process I used to use to connect seems to have changed and the docs aren't clear if it still works.

    Cheers!

    @mathbou

    @solwuffles You can use the Attach to process function, it works on both Pycharm Pro and CE and supports breakpoints

    For those who still need a new version of MayaCharm, I updated my fork for 2026+ and published it on the JetBrains Marketplace.
