Feature Request: One-click clear all code in Workers editor (mobile-friendly) #15311

Closed

Description

@candy535

Problem Description:
When using the Cloudflare Workers online editor on mobile devices (phones or tablets), it is not possible to use Ctrl+A to select all text as on a desktop. Additionally, long-pressing or double-tapping the cursor area on mobile does not bring up options like "Select All" or "Copy". This makes it extremely difficult to clear all code from the editor. Currently, the only ways are to delete characters one by one or delete the entire Worker and start over, which severely impacts development efficiency.

Suggested Feature:
I would like to request a "Clear Code" button (similar to a "Clear" or "Empty" function) be added to the toolbar or the top-right corner of the Workers editor. When clicked, it could show a confirmation dialog, and upon confirmation, it would instantly clear all code, allowing for quick rebuilds or modifications.

Use Case:
When I am quickly testing different code snippets on a mobile device, I frequently need to clear the editor. Having a clear button would greatly improve the user experience.

I hope the Cloudflare team will consider this improvement. Thank you!
