Summary

skip auto-triggered compaction continuations in print/JSON mode
suppress deferred callbacks once the session runtime shuts down
log the original compaction error and prevent repeated failed compaction attempts

Test

node --experimental-strip-types extensions/auto-compact.ts --self-test
