.markdown-body th, .markdown-body td { + max-width: 240px;Fixes #1052. Keep the natural table sizing and horizontal scrolling introduced by #650; bound long cell content rather than squeezing the entire table into the viewport.
Evidence
After: The same browser suite passes all 12 checks at 1280px and 390px. Long headings, English/Chinese sentences, URLs, and inline code wrap; an eight-column table still scrolls without squeezing ordinary values onto multiple lines.
