Website Status

Welcome! This is the E-lenola Elibrary repository. This repository is meant to store the contents and assets of the website.

  1. What is E-Lenola? E-lenola is an electronic library that can (C) add, (R) retrieve/view, (U) edit, and (D) delete users and books through a secure authentication system managed by both the administrators and framework. E-lenola also supports the borrowing and returning of books and see their availability in real time.
  2. What languages and frameworks are used in the project? E-lenola primarily uses the Python programming language as the main scripting and backend programming language. It is supported by the Django framework which handles everything from web page management, authentication, databases and modelling, and many more. Additional languages and frameworks are PHP and Bootstrap.
  3. How do I use the website? E-lenola allows guest users to search for books through the main search bar in the landing/home page. Unfortunately, user-only functions such as borrowing/retrieving are not allowed through the guest account. Adding, editing/updating, and deleting of books and users can only be done by the admin users which are created from the admin panel of the website.
