Hi, I'm Tomohiro Motoda ๐Ÿ‘‹

I am a robotics researcher at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Japan. My research focuses on robot manipulation, robot learning, and AI robotics, especially for real-world manipulation systems.

I am interested in building robot systems that connect perception, planning, learning, and reliable real-robot deployment.

Research interests

  • Robot manipulation and manipulation planning
  • Bimanual manipulation
  • Imitation learning and robot learning
  • Vision-language models for robotic manipulation
