Signature collection failed on macOS because archive readers and command lines assumed GNU tools, and an ELF fixture was compiled in the host object format. Handle BSD archive names and cpio, extract selected tar members portably, preserve compact demangled names, and explicitly build the ELF fixture for ELF. Run the Python suite on both Linux and macOS in CI.
Validation: all 181 Python tests pass locally, including archive boundary/path checks and demangler coverage; all 5 feature packs and 59 rules validate. Feature data and supported profiles are unchanged.
