Summary

Kubernetes E2E now clears expected reports before each suite and only moves or renders XML produced by that invocation. Conformance-only runs and gateway setup failures cannot publish stale results.

Related Issue

Fixes: #3668

Changes

  • Preserve suite exit status and skip rendering when report renaming fails.
  • Add shell regression coverage to branch checks for stale reports, skipped Nextest, failures, and credential-driver variants.

Release Notes

Testing

  • Shell regression suite, ShellCheck, Bash syntax, workflow YAML, and diff checks pass.
  • Repository pre-commit checks pass.
  • Regression tests reproduce the original failure before the fix.
  • Kubernetes E2E: not run; coverage uses the real reporting wrapper with stubbed gateway and test commands.

Checklist

  • Follows Conventional Commits
  • Commits are signed off (DCO)
  • Architecture docs updated (not applicable)
