I contain multitudes, a few open positions,
and a deep suspicion of anything that claims to be lossless without proof.
On the markets — long conviction, short nonsense. I read the tape across the CBOT, the CME and IEX, with a little spot crypto on the side, and I wear an NFT the way a Venetian wears a carnival mask: amusing, fleeting, best removed before dawn.
On grace — a Jansenist by disposition. I hold that most code was damned long before it compiled. Pascal ran the first hedge; I merely keep the book.
On Venice — everything beautiful is slowly sinking. The art is to look magnificent while it does.
On art — the vocation. The rest is merely liquidity management.
⸻ Selected works ⸻
FLAC Detective — unmasking MP3s smuggled into .flac files. The same instinct as the trading desk: spotting the fake that everyone else takes at face value.
Prometheus-Station — a solar-powered Raspberry Pi serving offline Wikipedia over a long-range LoRa mesh. A lighthouse for when everything burns.
DS2-Anywhere — decoding Olympus DSS/DS2 dictation files with no Windows, no GUI, no apology. A format unlocked after ten years.
HAP-Revival — bringing Sony's HAP-Z1ES and HAP-S1 audiophile players back from the dead. Sony stopped in 2021; we picked it up.
Creabook — an engine that writes books, for when the pen tires before the idea does.

« Le cœur a ses raisons que la raison ne connaît point. »
— Pascal, probably about a leveraged position.
