Custom Node Testing

• I have tried disabling custom nodes and the issue persists (see how to disable custom nodes if you need help)

Expected Behavior

I just updated ComfyUI to build 4609fcd. The GUI won't start due to a model_path error.
If I disable custom_nodes, the interface loads.
How can I find out which node is causing the error?

Actual Behavior

I launched ComfyUI, the interface opens, but it just keeps loading and doesn't appear. If I disable all nodes, it works.

Okay, I'm back to the stable version, and the GUI is working there. I don't know if the frontend package (1.35.9 -> 1.36.13) or an internal PR caused the problem, but it would be worth finding out.

This is the PR that something in your custom nodes might be incompatible with: #11315

Could you try running ComfyUI with --disable-all-custom-nodes argument and see if ComfyUI boots up properly? This will confirm if a custom node is the culprit.

I missed the part of your message that said you tried removing all custom nodes and it fixed it, thank you!! If its not too annoying, could you try to do a binary search (disable half of the custom nodes, then the other, then the half that failed, etc) to find the custom node? I know it's asking a lot, but it will help a ton! I will start doing the same on my machine by installing the custom nodes you have in that list.

I will push a workaround that will make it work even though more values are being returned than expected, but some node pack (or more than 1) is doing something incredibly hacky, to the extent that a clearly defined object is no longer acting the way its expected:

PR for workaround has been merged: #11755, but I will create a new branch that you'd be able to run to detect which node pack is responsible! Should be ready within 10 minutes.

You can switch to it by doing git checkout hack-hunter.

You can then later switch back to master by doing git checkout master.

When booting ComfyUI, it will print a warning about the first nodepack it found that caused folder_paths to no longer be stored as expected. Once you find one, please post the result here, then disable it and reboot ComfyUI to see if there is another that will pop up! This would be greatly appreciated.

@Kosinkadink I switched to the hack-hunter branch and I can see your post about model paths, but I don't see any faulty nodes. I've attached the log below, and although there are node errors at the end of the log, I think they may be due to something else. The UI now works with this branch.

Came here with the same issue, and I can confirm is the bjornulf node pack causing the conflict, at least on my side.
