Problem Description
Hi there,
First of all, thank you for maintaining this repository and providing Windows installers for Vim.
Recently, I noticed a change in the release pattern. In the past, signed binaries were only released periodically (which many users, including myself, regarded as more stable/tested milestones), while the daily incremental builds were usually unsigned.
However, in recent daily releases, I noticed that both signed and unsigned files are generated every single day.
This has raised a couple of questions for me:
- The meaning of "Signed": Does the automated daily signing alter the "reliability" or "stability" status of these builds compared to the previous periodic signed releases?
- Redundancy: If every day's build is automatically signed, what is the practical purpose of continuing to provide the
unsigned assets alongside them?
Could you please clarify the reason behind this new release workflow? It would help users better understand which version they should choose for their daily workflows.
Thank you for your time and clarification!
