How can I delete the reading progress of an XTC?

I have tried deleting the reading cache for a particular XTC file on my Xteink X4, and also all of the reading cache on the device, but it doesn't work. I have also tried removing the XTC from my reading history, but it doesn't work. When I open the file again, I am placed on the same page in the book as before.

Clearing a book's reading cache preservers your progress intentionally. The workaround here is to delete the progress.bin from that book's xtc_<hash> folder.
