PyGPSClient looks unusable on a common desktop setup

A regular Gnome / Wayland desktop with 200 ppi monitors (scaling factor 2) yields this↑. The dialog windows cannot be resized or scrolled. Tried (to no avail):

• gsettings set org.gnome.mutter experimental-features "['scale-monitor-framebuffer', 'xwayland-native-scaling']"
• GDK_DPI_SCALE=2 GDK_SCALE=2 ./pygpsclient

Found a workaround:

gsettings set org.gnome.mutter.wayland xwayland-scaling-factor 1
./pygpsclient
gsettings set org.gnome.mutter.wayland xwayland-scaling-factor 0.0

Looks badly blurred, but usable / clickable at least.

200% is an uncommonly high scaling factor, but there is a manually editable json configuration setting which sets ALL pop-up dialogs to be resizeable - resizeable_dialog_b. This was introduced as a workaround for issues with some scaled Linux displays.

The setting is referenced in the README.

Open your pygpsclient.json configuration file in any text or json editor and set the value of resizeable_dialog_b to 1.

You can also try experimenting with the 'Built-In Scaling for Legacy Apps' setting.

Here's PYGPSClient's UBX Configuration Dialog opened on a 1920x1080 Ubuntu Wayland display scaled to 150% and resizeable_dialog_b set to 1:

FYI The existing UBX Configuration panel is quite busy, so I'm planning to split this panel into 2 in the next release (1.7.1). One panel will cover modern (Gen 9+ e.g. ZED-F9P, ZED-X20P) u-blox devices which support the CFG-VALSET/DEL/GET commands; the other will cover legacy devices (Gen 8- e.g. NEO-M7N, NEO-M8N) which use the older CFG-PRT, CFG-RATE and CFG-MSG commands.

This should make both panels easier to manage on lower resolution and scaled displays.
