Ragel -Z is deprecated

Ragel is making it so that I can't compile mgmt:

looks like ragel-go is the new shiny (fixing the lang/Makefile)

Looking at it

There is that 5 at the begining of the line, looks weird. Using make any further doesn't work, because it keeps on generating this file

We have a patch in feat/ragel7 (which I just rebased) but until the upstream issue is solved, I can't merge it.

In the meantime there is the baddev branch which I've also rebased again.

I know @jordansissel has an open patch to fix this in adrian-thurston/colm-suite#210

I don't know mise but if adding some sort of mise.toml (?) to the repo would improve mgmt for you without being a hard dependency, then I'm happy to merge such a patch if you know what it might look like.

I havent yet worked on that. The author expressed a willingness to patch it themselves if I didn’t want to work on. I’m ok if that happens — I anticipated having more time to do it but local priorities have been wild lately ;)

I'm confused... You weren't able to run ragel 6.10 until now and this was the fix??

yes, but only when inspecting .github/workflows and delving into wtf is actually installed and then notifcing that ONY if you don't have ragel installed it fetched 6.10 from the website.

checking in the generated code would have made this very much easier
