Twitch video ads are showing and app version too old to watch Stories

Feedback for the Twitch patch (Twitch version 16.9.1, ReVanced patches 6.1.0)

1. I'm getting video ads although I installed all the recommended patches and used the recommended version of the Twitch app.
2. The currently recommended version for the Twitch app is too old to watch stories. It says something like "This story is not compatible with your current version of the Twitch app. Update your app to see this Story".

I hope this is the right place to post this. At first I thought to post it here but it is not a problem with the Manager itself and I didn't find Twitch here so I posted it here.

This Twitch version is very outdated, and most of the new features conflict with its queries. Ads are served from the server, so bypassing them is not straightforward. In most cases, once an attempt is made to bypass them, they are reprocessed and the app starts over from the beginning.

It would be great to see if anyone is interested in taking on this challenge. Would a custom proxy implementation be necessary and feasible as a patch?

It might also be the case that there is currently a very good alternative app for ad-free Twitch called PurpleTV or Xtra https://github.com/crackededed/Xtra/releases , so there may be no need to create a complex custom patch.

That one is discontinued. The last update was in August 2024.

It looks like the Xtra repository you linked doesn't properly support watch streaks, Twitch drops and channel points.

There is a fork that promises to add these things https://github.com/thiscallnet/Xtra but I haven't tested it.

I don’t know whether a ReVanced Twitch app would make sense nevertheless, because Xtra doesn't seem to come with the latest features, which is why these forks exist.
