The new PR visualisation

Hello,

I noticed that we now display a PR icon against branches. Different teams work with git differently, so what makes sense for one team makes less sense for another. This is how we work: we rarely have more than one work item per person, so each of the team member have a branch under their name. PRs get submitted under these branches, get merged to main, and the the branch get reset to main for the next piece of work. At this stage the PR is now finished, so there is no point seeing it in lazygit. I to be honest expected the indication to disappear after reset but it does not.

What control do I have here? Can I make it not show not relevant PRs, and if not, can I disabled this indicator completely?

Interesting; that's related to this discussion.

In our workflow it is very common to rebase a branch onto a newer main and force-push while a PR is open for it, and of course it is essential that we still see the PR in that case. I can't think of a good heuristic that can distinguish the two cases. I'm open to ideas.

It seems that for your use case a config to hide merged PRs would help.
