A web platform to help ECOSLO manage and track thier members and planted trees, automate volunteer reminders and tasks, and visualize tree locations on an interactive map.
ECOSLO is a San Luis Obispo-based environmental organization with over 50 years of advocacy dedicated to sustainability, restoration, and community stewardship. This project will replace their manual, spreadsheet-driven system for tracking hundreds of planted trees with a modern web platform that streamlines tree management, volunteer coordination, and automated communications. It will directly benefit ECOSLO's admin staff by eliminating tedious data entry, while empowering Tree Keepers and volunteers through timely reminders and status updates. By making tree data more accessible and actionable, the platform will strengthen ECOSLO's ability to ensure the long-term survival of every tree they plant, turning community-driven environmental work into a more organized and scalable operation.
The ECOSLO team consists of 13 Cal Poly students. Over the course of about 9 months, we worked as a team to build and deploy this web application.
