How do I clean up the cache folder? (.dep/repo)

Each of my sites that I used Deployer for have a HUGE .dep/repo/objects/pack

Like 3GB each!! My server is nearly out of space as a result.

Which command do I use to clear/clean this cache folder to recuperate space please?

Is it safe to delete the entire folder?

Sorry but can you be more specific ?

The page you linked to doesn't mention anything about "clone strategy"

It does talk about "code strategy" and it says the default is "archive", so this is the one that is currently causing me trouble. And the only other possible option to update_code_strategy is clone which puts my .git folder inside the release_path? This doesn't sound like it would help with the issue of the huge repeated composer dependencies existing for each project?

update_code_strategy

• local_archive
  Deployer makes an archive of your repo on your local machine and uploads it to the server.
  No .git folder on the server. No .dep/repo needed.

• archive (default)
  Server keeps a bare Git mirror in .dep/repo.
  On each deploy it runs git archive from that mirror and extracts it into the release.
  No .git folder in the release.

• clone
  Instead of making an archive, Deployer does a git clone from .dep/repo into the release.
  Your release will contain a full .git directory.
