I like this idea - study groups of 3-5 people max. They can focus on one topic and resource for a pre-defined period of time. Will lead to more results. Can also then encourage writing about their learnings.

Study Groups Module

This module will allow Coderplex members to create, manage, and be part of structured study groups around specific topics, resources or roadmaps. Group owners or admins can set a weekly study plan, members can schedule sessions, start and post to discussion threads, and track progress. It will help self-learners and upskillers stay consistent, motivated, and connected

Core Features

• View All Study Groups - Browse, search, and filter existing study groups.

• Create a New Study Group

• Join a Study Group

• Leave a Study Group

• Group Page ( 4 Tabs)

  • Group Overview - Show group description, current weekly plan, next scheduled meeting, group members list and group progress tracker (% of members who completed weekly goal)

  • Study Plan Tab - View full weekly breakdown , edit plan (only owner/admin)

  • Schedule Tab - Calendar view of scheduled study sessions , create new session (meeting) button.

  • Discussions Tab -Create, view, delete posts and discussion threads , filter and search posts

• Members - id, user_id, group_id, role, joined_at, left_at

• Study_plans - id, group_id, week_number, topic, goal, due_date, created_by, created_at

• Sessions - id, group_id, title, description, scheduled_at, meeting_link, notes, created_by, created_at

Questions

1. Progress Tracker Where can we show this and what do we show?
2. Should we allow private/public study groups ie let owners make them discoverable or not?
3. Any other features, we can include in initial version of this feature?
4. Should we allow non-coderplex users to access this feature?
5. Should we have a Feed like twitter so learners can post questions, reflections, updates about their learnings etc?
