font issue/gap between unicode lines characters `──`

works fine/correctly on ghostty mac tip with default config (no special font set):

but with ghostty-web there is a gap between the characters:

it could just be I am holding it wrong: the code is (which is likely terrible):

I made a couple of PRs here, but they haven't been touched, and I spotted a fork by @rcarmo so started to work from there instead.

Not throwing any shade on the maintainers here, I know how hard it is to juggle life, work and oss. But if you are looking for a fix to this specific issue now, then this fork is an option.

Here's a screenshot of my terminal and the improvements. The changes are a bit hard to isolate because I needed to build a visual render test suite to help me and it took a few commits until I was happy, but it's the changes to the render.ts file here, for example custom drawing in renderBlockChar.

I seem to still be having this same issue while using your fork. Is there some way to fix this? (Look at the input box in this image). I am using JetBrains Mono for the font.

Yeah, I just ended up going back to xterm.js. You could also use wterm
