Show & Tell: WikiMasters — Real-time Wikipedia TCG deployed globally on Cloudflare Workers

[TheoBlake]

Hi Cloudflare team and community! ⚡️

We recently launched WikiMasters (wikimasters.org), a dynamic trading card game powered by Wikipedia and deployed 100% on Cloudflare Workers.

Architecture Overview

• Edge SSR & Compute: Powered by Cloudflare Workers and TanStack Start, enabling lightning-fast card rendering with sub-30ms global TTFB.
• Dynamic Wikipedia Ingestion: Server functions on the edge parse Wikipedia article metadata, categories, and pageviews into game stats and card battle ratings.
• Edge Asset Caching: Card art previews and OpenGraph dynamic social cards are served with custom edge caching rules.
