test(expo): cover the update screen with a minimum app version - #10655
Native app force update went live on November 3, when the global native_app_force_update flag was turned on. The Expo verification map still listed the update screen as not mapped, because no spec could set a minimum app version.
This adds specs/features/update-required/ and a feature page. The tests run on a real development instance on iOS and Android, so they cover the whole path: Platform API, public environment, FAPI's 403, and <ClerkProvider>'s screen.
A signed-in user on a build below the minimum sees the update screen. Once the minimum is lowered, the same user and session are back.
A signed-out user on a build below the minimum sees the update screen.
The test app now installs expo-application, declared in its package templates so the build key changes with it. The docs say the update screen needs it, and without it the app falls back to the native screen instead of the one in packages/expo/src/update-required/. So every Expo spec now runs with it installed.
What to focus on
The version box differs by platform: iOS groups its label and value into one element, and Android keeps two text nodes, so the spec uses a different locator on each.
The test app's RoutedHost no longer shows its error screen while the app version is unsupported. A blocked launch's 403 also makes Clerk's status error, and the harness fails at once if it reads that screen first.
The screen has no test IDs, so the spec finds it by its text. I left the SDK alone to keep this test-only. A wording change will fail this spec.
The nightly and release runs include every committed spec, so these tests now depend on the global flag staying on.
The feature page lists what no spec reaches: Get help (the Platform API has no support email leaf), a screen with no update URL, an app's own screen, and the native fallback without expo-application. The spec relaunches rather than showing a block appear while the app is open, which could be added later.
Testing
integration/expo-native/bin/control-clerk-expo run update-required, 3 of 3 on a local iOS simulator and 3 of 3 on a local Android emulator. The evidence below is from this commit and pin. An earlier iOS run at this commit (r20261104-193337-644e) failed while the Mac was overloaded, with a load average near 130: the app didn't open in time and the test engine timed out starting. The rerun passed all 3 with no failed attempts.
token-cache-persistence and native-js-sync pass on Android with expo-application installed.
On my local iOS simulator, token-cache-persistence/relaunch and native-js-sync/sign-out-from-native fail, and this change isn't the cause. They fail the same way on a build without expo-application, 2 of 2 runs, with the same pin. A tap on Token cache doesn't open that screen, and the home doesn't show Signed out after a native sign-out. A separate worktree without expo-application showed the same errors on October 27. I haven't found the cause. The two native-js-sync/sign-in-from-native tests pass there.
npm test and the typecheck in integration/expo-native/. This doesn't change a published package, so I didn't run the repo-wide pnpm test or pnpm build. The empty changeset says the same.
Risk
The test app's RoutedHost doesn't clear its blocked-load flag if a block lifts while the status stays error. No spec reaches it, because they all relaunch, and the worst case is host.launch waiting out its 60 seconds instead of failing at once.
Test code, docs, and the test app's dependencies. No change to a published package, a public API, or stored session data.
If the flag were turned off, or Clerk changed how a minimum is enforced, these tests would fail and block a release until someone looked.
The update screen was listed as not mapped because no spec could set a
minimum app version. The new update-required spec blocks the test app on
a live instance with host.useMinimumAppVersion, on iOS and Android, and
checks the session returns once the minimum is lowered. The test app now
installs expo-application, which @clerk/expo needs to read its version.

Adds Expo Native end-to-end tests for update-required screens. The tests cover signed-in and signed-out users below the minimum version, a signed-in user at the minimum, and session retention after lowering the minimum. The change also updates app-version error handling, documents test setup and platform-specific checks, and updates Expo fixture dependencies and the internal e2e dependency revision.
clerk/javascript#10616: Changes the Expo verification credential contract and internal e2e dependency used by the documented Platform API setup.
clerk/javascript#10343: Implements Expo minimum-app-version enforcement and the update screen covered by these tests.
clerk/javascript#10596: Adds per-test instance changes, run-record entries, and cleanup patterns used by the minimum-version test setup.

Explanation
The description is specific and on-topic. It explains the native app force update flag, the new update-required specs and feature page, the pin bump to clerk/internal-mobile-e2e, the expo-application dependency added to the test app templates, the RoutedHost change, and the test evidence for iOS and Android. This matches the changeset in the raw summary, which covers the spec file, the feature docs, the package pin, the templates, and the test app. The description states what changed and why, so it passes this lenient check.

The build key hashes the template and not src/fixture.ts, so the package
in the install list could reuse a cached build made without it.

On Android, the signed-in user got the update screen once the minimum was raised, and the same user and session ID were back after it was lowered. iOS was not run (see c4).

Moves the pin to the merge commit of clerk/internal-mobile-e2e#12 on
main. From review:
- The test app no longer shows its error screen while the app version is
unsupported, so a blocked launch can't fail on it.
- The spec asserts Required on iOS, and its per-platform locators move to
specs/native.ts.
- The feature map contract allows a list of states no spec reaches, and
the skill docs name host.useMinimumAppVersion.

The test app could record environment_load_failed when the app version
became supported again while Clerk's status was still error, and nothing
cleared it after the reload recovered. A load that failed while blocked
now records no failure until the status has left error. The skill docs
also say what keepStorage does to a launch's session, and that the states
section of a feature page is optional.
