UHK80: Left half connection issues with USB-C and Dongle

I usually keep both halves connected directly via USB-C to the computer, as well as the USB dongle plugged in, and that works well most of the time well. But after a recent removal of the usb-c cable from the left half, it's now refusing to connect back even after plugging in the usb-c cable and also doesn't connect via Dongle. Been a couple of days since this started happening.

This has also occurred in the past a few times btw.

The only thing that works reliably in this situation is the UHK 80 Spiral cable.

I'm seeing this right now, but don't have a consistent reproducer. Currently, even after multiple unplug and replugging the usb-c cable, the issue still persists.

I guess one other strange behaviour I notice which pretty much always accompanies this issue is that after unplugging the left-half, the LED backlights on all keys on the left half turn on for sometime (I guess the default settings) even when I've fully disabled all lights.

UPDATE (noticed in the middle of writing this comment): A firmware force-flash fixes this, and I'm able to use the left half with both USB dongle and usb-c plugged in.

Ack. Btw, once this happens, if I connect both halves with the spiral cable, the left half works just fine without any force-flash, also obeys the intended LED settings. So, maybe the left half isn't totally crashing?
