I've just realised there is a separate discussion space for the home assistant plugin, so I will close this and re-post there. |

I'm using the Matterbrige for Home Assistant app along with the Home Assistant plugin. I'm trying to share a couple of my Home Assistant entities - specifically control entity for a couple of coloured Zigbee bulbs - from Home Assistant to a Matter controller (Amazon Alexa).
I originally configured this a few months ago using the whitelist feature in the Matterbridge plugin. I entered the names of the devices containing the controls that I wanted to share into whitelist. Then after pairing Matterbridge with Alexa, they appeared in Alexa. This worked for a while, and if I remember correctly at that time there was a one to one mapping between a device in Matterbridge and an device in Alexa.
I recently noticed (although I'm not sure when this started) these devices were no longer working from within Alexa (Alexa was reporting "Device is unresponsive") even though they were still working in Home Assistant, and Matterbridge was reporting device availability as online.
In an attempt to resolve, I decided to try removing the devices from the Matterbridge plugin whitelist, restart Matterbridge, add the devices back to the whitelist, and then restart Matterbridge again. This has enabled me to regain control of the bulbs from within Alexa, but the representation in Alexa has changed, and there is no longer a one-to-one mapping between Home Assistant device and Alexa device. For example, if I add a light device which I have called "Back Door Light" in Home Assistant to the whitelist, I now see the following three devices in Alexa:
I have also tried adding the relevant entity id to the plugin whitelist (i.e. light.back_door_light) instead of the device name, but if I do this, nothing gets registered (marked as online) in the Matterbridge devices list and nothing related to the device appears in Alexa.
I'd be grateful for some guidance.
Also, I'm curious as to what happened to change the mapping behaviour between when I first setup Matterbridge a few months ago and now.
Thanks
