Thank you for your interest in contributing to DataSentry (the "Project"), owned and maintained by Captain ASIC (the "Project Owner").
This Contributor License Agreement ("Agreement") clarifies the intellectual property rights granted with Contributions from any person or entity. This license is for your protection as a Contributor as well as for the protection of the Project and its users; it does not change your rights to use your own Contributions for any other purpose.
By signing this Agreement (via the CLA assistant on your first pull request), you accept and agree to the following terms for your present and future Contributions submitted to the Project.
"Contribution" means any original work of authorship, including any modifications or additions to an existing work, that you intentionally submit to the Project for inclusion in it. "Submit" means any form of communication sent to the Project (pull request, patch, issue attachment), excluding communication conspicuously marked "Not a Contribution."
"You" means the individual or legal entity agreeing to this Agreement. If you are accepting on behalf of your employer or another entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.
You hereby grant to the Project Owner a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable copyright license to reproduce, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute your Contributions and such derivative works, under any license terms, including proprietary licenses, at the Project Owner's discretion.
You retain full copyright ownership of your Contributions. Nothing in this Agreement restricts your right to use, license, or distribute your own Contributions.
You hereby grant to the Project Owner and to recipients of software distributed by the Project a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable (except as stated below) patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer your Contributions, where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable by you that are necessarily infringed by your Contribution alone or by combination of your Contribution with the Project. If any entity institutes patent litigation alleging that the Project or a Contribution infringes a patent, any patent licenses granted by that entity under this Agreement terminate as of the date such litigation is filed.
You represent that: (a) each Contribution is your original creation or you have the right to submit it under this Agreement; (b) your Contribution submissions include complete details of any third-party license or restriction of which you are aware; and (c) if your employer has rights to intellectual property you create, you have received permission to make Contributions on its behalf or your employer has waived such rights.
You are not expected to provide support for your Contributions. Unless required by applicable law or agreed to in writing, you provide your Contributions "AS IS", without warranties or conditions of any kind.
